Nafis Hasan is an assistant professor in the department of anthropology in the Health, Care and Body group at the University of Amsterdam. He is appointed under the Sectorplan Human Factors in New Technologies. Currently, he is working on a new research project on digital technologies being built by Indian technologists and implemented for the management of health outcomes in low socio-economic regions of Africa. This research is supported by a Responsible Digital Transformation grant (2025) and an AISSR Impulse grant (2025-27) at the University of Amsterdam.
